That is the regular thing. Four times a year there is a whole day instead of an evening, and once a year we leave town altogether.

Whose studio this is

Hi, I'm McKenna

My mission is simple: to bring healing and light into your home through fine art.

I believe that art has the power to transform spaces, elevate our surroundings, and inspire the heart.

The club is that mission with the door left open: the same studio, the same table, and a few of us around it.

A room where women make things

Come for the company. The art happens anyway.

A hand mixing paint over a cluttered work table of brushes, jars and colour.

Art nights

It is girls night, with paint. One evening a month at my studio, the same small group, and nothing anybody has to finish by the end of it.

Each month has a theme, so we are always trying something new: different styles, different mediums, nobody expected to be good at any of them. Bring whatever you are already in the middle of, or play with the theme at the table. It is a night with people, which is also healing in its own right.

  • Sliding scale

Pay what the night is worth to you: $15, $22, or $35. Every one is the same night.

  • Come when you can

Book the nights that suit you. Miss a month and nothing is lost.

  • When

Friday, October 9 and Saturday, October 17, both 7:00 to 9:30 pm. Loose florals in watercolor.

  • Where

My home in Saratoga Springs. The address comes in your confirmation email.

Seasonal workshops

Once a season, a whole day instead of an evening. Healing, meditation, and art, with the time to go somewhere an evening cannot.

An art night is social first. A workshop is the deeper version of the same room: more time, and space for whatever you walked in carrying.

Dates, pricing and where: coming.

Whether I book one, and when, is the part you can decide.

Come home to yourself

The retreat

Once a year we leave town. A weekend away in the red rock, healing and art, with nothing else asking for you while you are there.

The first one is coming in 2027, in the red rock outside St. George.

Which month? I am picking it with you. Answer three questions and tell me when you could actually get away. Join the list and you will hear it first.

Pick what you pay

Every one of these is the same night. Same table, same supplies to use, same me. Paying more does not buy you a better seat, it helps somebody else come who could only manage the first one. Take the first one with a clear conscience.

One time, not every month

The night already includes everything on the table for you to use. The kit is yours to keep: a sketchbook, brushes, a palette and a pencil. One time, not every month.

Questions

Frequently asked

Do I need to know how to paint?

No. You don't have to be a skilled artist to come. I teach the technique as we go, and nobody at this table is expected to be good at it.

Can I come on my own?

Yes. It is one table, fourteen chairs, and I am teaching as we go, so there is no point in the evening where you are left to work out what to do by yourself. You do not need to bring anybody.

What do I bring?

Nothing. Paint, brushes, paper and boards are all on the table. If you are already in the middle of something, bring that and work on it instead.

What are we making?

Loose florals in watercolor, on both October nights. Each month has its own theme, so we are always trying something new.

How long is it?

Two and a half hours. Both October nights run 7:00 to 9:30 pm.

Where is it?

My home in Saratoga Springs. The address comes in your confirmation email once your chair is booked.

Is there food?

Bring a snack to share if you feel like it. Totally optional, and nobody is keeping track.

Can I bring a friend?

Yes, and please do. Book a chair each, because one email address is one chair, so send them the link rather than putting two names on one booking.

Do I need the take home kit?

No. The night already includes everything on the table for you to use. The kit is $50, it is yours to keep, and it is one time rather than every month.

Do I have to come every month?

No. Book the nights that suit you. Miss a month and nothing is lost.
